Sony Ericsson Cedar Phone Features and Specifications

Sony Ericsson recently announced a new entry-level 3G compatible mobile handset, named Sony Ericsson Cedar.The handset belongs to the family of green handsets ie it uses recycled plastics, a low power consumption charger, an e-manual, waterborne paint and compact packaging.

The Sony Ericsson Cedar comes in candybar form factor.The handset provides quick access to popular social networks such as Facebook, Twitter etc through a feature called Widget Manager 2.0 that allows users to access social networking sites via the stand-by screen.

The new Sony Ericsson Cedar mobile phone equips a a 2.2-inch TFT display with resolution of 320×240 pixels (QVGA) and has a 2MP camera with video recording capability (640×480 pixels at 30 fps).The handset is alos provided with Google Maps application and Access NetFront 3.5 web browser.

Sony Ericsson Cedar Features includes 3.5mm audio jack, 3G HSDPA, microUSB port, FM tuner, 280MB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot for expanding up to 16GB and Bluetooth.The handset is designed to work in  GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and UMTS/HSPA 2100 MHz or 850/1900/2100 MHz networks.

New Sony Ericsson Cedar handset comes available in two shades-Black/Silver and Black/Red.The phone weighs 84g and its dimensions are 111×49x15.5 mm.According to the information the Sony Ericsson Cedar will be available for sales by the end of  Q3 2010.
